Yamato appoints Elena Rodriguez as EVP, Global & Americas

Yamato Bussan announced the appointment of Elena Rodriguez to its executive committee as EVP, Global & Americas, effective 1 April 2024. She joined the group through its acquisition of a São Paulo agribusiness she had led for a decade.

Reporting from the New York regional headquarters, Rodriguez will oversee Yamato's businesses across the Americas spanning grain, metals and renewable power — accelerating the group's Compass 2030 growth strategy in the region.

A New Team to Drive Transformation

The two newly appointed EVPs have a proven track record on the front lines of the digital and renewable energy businesses. "For Yamato Bussan to continue sustainable growth over the next 100 years, an agile organizational culture and a bold shift in business domains are essential," expressing high expectations for the new leadership. The new executives will officially take office on October 1st and immediately lead the formulation of the next medium-term management plan.
